Piccola's Sportsmen's Advisory Committee Meeting to Include Presentations by
Game, Fish & Boat Commissions
HARRISBURG – – State Senator Jeffrey E. Piccola (R-15) will host his Spring
2006 Sportsmen's Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday, March 30th at 7:00 p.m.
at the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission headquarters located at 1601
Elmerton Avenue in Harrisburg.
The meeting will feature Carl Roe, the new executive director of the
Pennsylvania Game Commission. Roe will discuss issues currently impacting the
commission, provide insight on future initiatives, and take questions from
committee members.
A presentation will also be made by officials from the Fish and Boat
Commission who will share: (1) an update on the Smallmouth Bass kills in the
Susquehanna River; and (2) upcoming changes in the size and number of trout that
will be stocked beginning in 2007.
Piccola maintains four citizen advisory committees in an effort to stay in
touch with constituent concerns and share information with the residents of
Dauphin and York Counties. The Agriculture, Business, Sportsmen's and Veterans'
Advisory Committees meet regularly throughout the 15th Senatorial District. |
