Military Expert to Address Piccola's Veterans' Advisory Committee Meeting
HARRISBURG – – State Senator Jeffrey E. Piccola (R-15) will host his Fall
2006 Veterans' Advisory Committee meeting on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at
the Lawnton American Legion Post 998, located at 4700 Derry Street in
Harrisburg.
The featured speaker for the meeting will be Colonel Robert W. Werthman of
the Carlisle Army War College. In addition to serving over two decades as an
officer in the United States Army, Colonel Werthman's service has also included
time in Operations Desert Storm, Somalia, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation
Enduring Freedom, and other locations. Colonel Werthman plans to talk about the
success of the United States Army Aviation in Afghanistan and other current
military theatres and will be available for questions immediately following his
presentation.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Advance reservations for the meeting are

Piccola maintains four citizen advisory committees in an effort to stay in
touch with constituent concerns and share information with the residents of
Dauphin and York Counties. The Agriculture, Business, Sportsmen's and Veterans'
Advisory Committees meet regularly throughout the 15th Senatorial District.
